Die PARTEI in ausländischen Medien

Heute: Henryk M. Broder im Wall Street Journal:
„One thing is clear: the better the former East Germans have it, the more dissatisfied they get. It’s a unique phenomenon in the former East bloc: dissatisfaction has increased with increasing prosperity. When the Wall fell and hundreds of thousands of East Germans streamed to the West to get their 100 marks of „welcome money“ per person, they were ecstatic. Today, 15 years later, in every village they can buy the products they could once only see on West German television; they drive new cars and live in lavishly renovated houses. Like their West German compatriots, they spend their vacations in Mallorca and the Dominican Republic.“
